Octobernight at River Raisin Territorial Park
All are invited to Octobernight at River Raisin Territorial Park Friday, October 4, and Saturday, October 5, from 6:00 PM to 10:00 PM.
The Monroe County Museum System (MCMS) invites all to welcome Halloween to Monroe at River Raisin Territorial Park, 3815 N Custer Rd., Monroe, MI 48162.
On October 4 and 5, River Raisin “Terror-torial” Park will transform into an eerie world for the curious to explore. Visitors can discover the roots of our present-day Halloween celebrations by experiencing the spine-tingling tales and legends that have lurked around Michigan’s dark corners for centuries. All are invited to celebrate the season with historic Halloween traditions, dramatic performances, light seasonal refreshments, and live music, but all are also reminded to keep a look-out for the ethereal beings that thrive in the shadows.
This year, a curated selection of featured beverages will be available for purchase from Nocturnal Monroe. Upon crossing the wooden bridge, visitors can expect surprises and chilling scenes everywhere, but may take refuge in our scare-free barn while enjoying complimentary fall flavors and sounds.
Octobernight may not be suitable for very young children. Remember to dress for the weather, and keep a lookout for things that go “bump in the night.”
Tickets are available online only; none will be sold at the door. Admission is $13.00 for ages 13 and up, and children 12 and under are free. Purchase tickets by visiting octobernight.org, and have your email confirmation with you when you arrive. Attendance is limited, so we encourage everyone to purchase early!
Keep the “spirit” of Octobernight alive throughout October by participating in new MCMS seasonal offerings: Yesterways: Special Eerie Edition at the Monroe County Museum, held on select weekends at the County Museum; and Shadowed Sips: Dramatic Readings of Historic Halloween on select Wednesdays at Nocturnal Monroe (2 W Front St., Monroe, MI 48161).
